"We are seeking a solid lead engineer that can work with and pick up many different languages and tools. The ideal candidate should be willing and capable of picking up new tools and languages to do their job. The main tech stack in JavaScript is PHP, TypeScript and a little bit of Go. So expect to work with PHP and Go on a day-to-day basis. Event's preferred technology stack includes Java which we will gradually adopt into the Splash codebase. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex challenges in a backend-focused environment, leveraging modern technologies and ensuring seamless data connectivity at scale.

In This Role, You Will:

• Design and implement scalable, robust, and flexible integration solutions tailored to business needs.
• Work with Kubernetes, database optimization, and AWS cloud-native technologies to evolve our architecture.
• Modernize our PHP-based and Golang stack and ensure smooth interaction between legacy and modern components.
• Collaborate with your Scrum team to scope, estimate, implement, and test new features and fixes.
• Deliver features, improvements, and fixes with a predictable and timely cadence."
• 3 days work from home.

Primary Skills:

• Expertise in backend development using Java.
• 8+ years of development experience with a strong focus on scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Proven experience designing and managing systems that move and synchronize data across platforms and APIs.
• Extensive experience designing and querying performance in high-traffic or data-intensive applications.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to prototype solutions quickly when needed.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in distributed or fully remote teams.
• Fluent in written and spoken English."
